WALT: access our prior knowledge

The Kea Room is so lucky to have a fantastic new whiteboard table to use for group learning. Not only has this been used during maths, but now also for a reading group!

WE DO THIS BY…

• Sharing our own knowledge and experiences

We are learning about activating our prior knowledge when reading. This group firstly recorded all they already new about a topic on the table. This was then followed by independent reading, while recording new learning in a different colour. Finally the group discussed and shared their new learning.
